I recently acquired a Helios 44m-6 lens. Inspired by Hunter Scott's videoon cheap lens, I took the lens out for a spin on my Fujifilm XT-3. And man, it's really lovely fun lens. Here's some samples I took today.

There is so much texture that comes out of this lens. I compare photos out of my iPhone 17 pro and while the iPhone does take incredible pictures, there is something flat about it that makes shooting on camera with a vintage lens so much fun and interesting.
I found myself really reclaiming to some extent, my attention as I walked with my son and taking photos. I shared some of them to the family. As folks who don't praise a lot, they really enjoyed the pics. Its such a confusing world now and I feel finding some level of beauty is both clarifying and restorative.
